Overview

People

Over the past years, I have met many interesting people from all walk of life and took candid portrait of them.  I have come to learn almost as much about myself and my value as I have about others.  Whether be it an outburst of contagious laughter or poignant tears of grief, it is my belief that capturing candid moments like these can truly reveal the raw soul of their humanity. It is their dreams and their fears, their celebrations and their anger, their faith and their doubts, their life, and their passing that develops in the photos. All of these are representative of what it means to be human.

Events

Birthday.  Wedding.  Celebration.  I covered many kinds of public and private events, recording unforgettable memories behind the scenes or capturing unexpected expressions from the crowd.  From the colorful festival of Kadayawan in Davao City to the grand birthday of former politician in Makati to a simple wedding of a newly couple in love.  I also have been to some official events such as first city wide earthquake drill by Manila's city government to annual charity marathon event held by World Vision at Taguig to the recovery effort at Talcoban City ravaged by Super Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda.

Travel

Traveling and exploring many unique cultures around the world have always been my dream.  It allow me to broaden my view of the world and see many kinds of perspectives of what it mean to be human.  Wherever I go, I am always inspired by their courage through adversity, their silent hope in prayer, and their serene way of living.  However, not all places are so grand and glamour because behind their secrets, I also have witnessed the pain, loneliness, and brokenness hidden away in the shadow of their society.  I hope one day that I would help became their megaphone to the world and bring positive changes for their people.
